Medical officers, General Practitioners, Nurses and Paramedics working in Emergency Care settings are invited to attend this interactive full day workshop delivered through large group sessions, skills station training and simulation training.

This workshop will focus on major trauma emergency patient scenarios and examine acute management in regional and rural settings.

Learning Outcomes:

Undertake a systematic primary assessment to detect and manage life threats in cases of major trauma
Assess and manage hypotension & haemorrhage in trauma
Assess and manage chest injuries
Perform procedures required to manage critical situations including chest decompression, pelvic binder application and vascular access including EZ-IO

Accreditation: This workshop has been accredited with RACGP and ACRRM and is eligible for the Rural Procedural Grants Program. Participants will receive a statement of attendance for 6.5 hours of CPD
