    Registration and networking will start from 5:30pm with the workshop commencing promptly at 6:00pm.

    Medical officers, General Practitioners, Nurses, Paramedics and all Medical Professionals working in a South Australian rural or regional emergency care setting are invited to attend this interactive, clinical case scenario based workshop.

    This workshop will focus on respiratory emergencies including severe and life threatening respiratory distress, and the roles of CPAP/BiPAP and high flow humidified nasal prong therapy.

    Learning outcomes:

    1. Differentiate clinical findings distinguishing moderate, severe and life threatening respiratory distress
    2. Prioritise the immediate management of the adult with serious or life threatening respiratory distress
    3. Contrast the differential diagnosis and emergency management of acute respiratory distress
    4. Discriminate the roles of CPAP/BiPAP and high flow humidified nasal prong therapy in the management of severe respiratory distress  

    Accreditation: This workshop is pending accreditation with RACGP and ACRRM. Participants will receive a statement of attendance for 3.5 hours of CPD (3 hours Reviewing Performance, 0.5 hours Educational Activities).

    The workshop is FREE to attend and catering will be provided.
