エミエミ (emi emi) Debut EP Launch

Moonah Arts Centre presents:

Experimental J-pop icon, エミエミ (emi emi) is launching her highly anticipated, self-titled debut EP, live at Moonah Arts Centre this October!

Born and raised in Lutruwita/Tasmania to her Launcestonian mum and Japanese dad, ミエミエ (emi emi) sings in a playful mix of Japanese and English, fusing hyperpop-inspired club tracks with upbeat, bubbly J-pop.

The launch of her first EP (co-written and produced with Charlie Pyecroft and Jack Mclaine) reflects years of experimentation and a deepening connection to her cultural roots, marking her evolution into one of Tasmania’s most interesting songwriters.

Joined on stage by friends and collaborators, Charlie Pyecroft (vocals, synth, DJ) and backup dancers Risa Muramatsu-Ray and Eri Muloolly-Hill Konishi, don’t miss this joyous and mesmerising live celebration!

Special guests on the night will be Yulan and Blaise, the Australian-American experimental pop duo with roots in Singapore, China and Mexico, and Honmono No Gaijin, a cross-cultural duo celebrating the vibrant musical traditions of Japan's southern islands. They will also be joined by GOMs AKA Emma, Nina & Lisa, who will transform the Moonah Arts Centre Makers Workshop into their Shoobridge Street living room for karaoke.

Audience members under 18-years-old are welcome with a responsible adult.
