• Is Emily Harper: After Dark an escape room?

  Not exactly. After Dark is an immersive horror experience. While you’ll step inside a themed environment and become part of the story, the focus is on the experience, atmosphere and scares—not solving your way out of a traditional escape room.

• Do I need to do The Disappearance of Emily Harper first?

  No! After Dark can be experienced completely on its own.

  However… the two experiences are connected. Guests who experience The Disappearance of Emily Harper first may recognize details or understand things in After Dark that others won't. We recommend doing both if you want the complete Emily Harper story.

• Is it actually scary?

  That's the plan. 😈

  After Dark is specifically designed to frighten you using darkness, sound, lighting, psychological scares, unexpected effects and other surprises.

  And no—we're not telling you exactly what happens.

• Is there an age requirement?

  Yes. Emily Harper: After Dark is for ages 16 and older.

  Our regular Disappearance of Emily Harper Mystery Experience is the better choice for younger guests or anyone who wants Emily's story without the intensity of After Dark.

• How many people can participate?

  Each session can accommodate up to 6 guests.

  Tickets are sold individually, so unless your group purchases all available spots for a session, you may experience After Dark with other guests.

• Will anyone touch me?

  Guests will not be intentionally grabbed, restrained or physically handled as part of the experience.

  However, the environment may contain sudden movements, sounds, air effects, darkness and other theatrical surprises.

• Are we actually locked inside?

  No. You are never physically locked inside the room. Guests can leave the experience if necessary.

• Can I leave if I get too scared?

  Yes. You can end your participation at any time.

  Just remember—once you leave, the experience may be over for you.

• Are there flashing lights or loud noises?

  The experience may include changing or flashing lighting, darkness, sudden loud sounds and other sensory effects. Guests who are sensitive to these effects should use their own judgment before participating.

• Is the Emily Harper story real?

  No. Emily Harper and the events surrounding her disappearance are completely fictional and were created for entertainment purposes by The Micro Experience Co.

• Can I take pictures or videos inside?

  We ask that guests do not photograph or record the experience while participating.

  Part of the fun is not knowing what happens before you walk through the door. Please help us keep the surprises secret for future guests!

• Is After Dark different from the regular Emily Harper experience?

  Very.

  The Disappearance of Emily Harper focuses on Emily's disappearance and uncovering her story.

  Emily Harper: After Dark explores something else entirely:

  What happened after Emily disappeared.
