Description

Emily Wolfe is a contemporary violinist from Hobart / nipaluna, celebrated for her vibrant and impactful contributions to Tasmania’s music scene.

Hailing from the esteemed Wolfe family, a remarkable Tasmanian musical lineage spanning four generations, Emily brings a deep sense of history, instinct and authenticity to her playing. Music is not simply a craft for her, it is a lived language, shaped by tradition, curiosity and a genuine love of connection through sound.

Emily’s performances move fluidly across folk, jazz, blues and country, drawing listeners into richly textured sound worlds where melody leads the storytelling. Her playing is expressive, earthy and lyrical, equally at home in intimate acoustic moments or driving ensemble settings.

She is also performs alongside Charlie in Emily’s own project Wolfefolk, where their twin-fiddle melodies crackle with energy. The interplay between the two violins creates sparks, intertwining lines, shared rhythms and spontaneous musical conversations that are both joyful and compelling to watch.

This SOHO Arts performance invites audiences on a captivating musical journey, rich with enchanting stories, heartfelt tunes and adventurous collaborations. Expect warmth, imagination and music that speaks directly to the soul.
