THE WAY TOWARDS PEACE: DARING TO STRETCH BEYOND OUR COMFORT ZONE

For everyone who desires to be or become an artist of the Good News, wanting to make a difference in the world.

During this retreat we will look deep into the gospel call for peace through non-violence by exploring and unwrapping the well-known prayer “Make me an instrument of your peace” inspired by St Francis of Assisi.

We will explore how we can make a difference for good in ordinary ways without necessarily being heroes or saints on a pedestal. We will let music, stories, poetry and silence boldly but gently challenge us to resist the forces of eviland negativity with the spirit of goodwill, gratitude and generosity.

Registration will begin at 4pm on Friday, February 9th. Price includes dinner on Friday, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday. All retreatants will have a private room with your own bathroom.

    ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Philip is a Jesuit priest born on the Mediterranean Island of Malta. He is an artist at heart and madly in love with all things beautiful and soulful. He believes that beauty is a uniquely wonderful entry into the mystery of the God “whose centre is everywhere and whose circumference is nowhere.” God can indeed be sensed and experienced in all things if we have ears to hear and eyes to see, if we have the patience to have a long, loving look at the ‘real’ that surrounds us.

Philip considers himself a seeker, with bottomless curiosity, exploring freshways to proclaim the Good News in the hope of helping fellow pilgrims to embrace real and radical changes that will lead to conversion and transformation.
