This workshop is designed to provide migrants with practical tools for emotional first aid a set of simple yet powerful techniques to manage the emotional impact of difficult situations. Participants will learn how to respond to anxiety, sadness, stress, and uncertainty that often arise during adaptation processes, and how to support others in times of crisis with empathy and effectiveness.

Emma Gómez is a medical doctor, with her specialization in Psychiatry nearly completed, and certified as a Trainer & Assessor in Australia. Since 2023, she has been teaching Emotional First Aid courses in Spanish, training and certifying hundreds of students. She is also the leader of LatinCare, a national community of more than 2,000 members, dedicated to empowering the Latin community to develop and access job opportunities in the Aged Care and Disability sector in Australia.
