It is often overlooked that workers, from laborers to CEOs and managers of companies, are people. They don't need to be mindless robots. People are distinguished from machines by their emotions. A collection of moods can create or take away energy. This, like most things can be used and put to good use if a leader or acting chief knows how to manage a person's emotions.

However, emotions have a downside. Sometimes emotions can take away as much energy as they can create. Although moods and the resulting energies are great, it is important to consider the emotional of the workforce. Neglecting to address any emotional strains in employees, whether they are individuals or groups, can have a devastating effect on both the workplace as well as the individual. The individual may suffer from emotional or mental trauma which can take many years to overcome and affect their productivity.

Every workplace has to have an asset to overcome and surpass any challenges it faces.
