Empathy Cafes - Australia

Do you worry that the world is becoming more divided?

Are you saddened by the isolation?

By lost connections?

By social fragmentation between cultures, people and within our communities?

Are you looking for a place where your anger, sadness, fear and love for this world can be heard?

Where you can practise skills that transform conflict into connection?

The Empathy Cafe Movement is a peer support arena to cultivate Empathic Communities. Empathy skills bridge the gap between feeling and action, disconnection and fulfilment, between me and you, us and them, between despair and active hope, between broken solutions and collective action, between disaster and the Great Turning.

Come to the Empathy Café to practice deep listening, find common ground and cultivate the ripple of empathy for the global shift in your activism, professional & personal life.

"This is a dark time, filled with suffering and uncertainty. Like living cells in a larger body, it is natural that we feel the trauma of our world. So don’t be afraid of the anguish you feel, or the anger or fear, because these responses arise from the depth of your caring and the truth of your interconnectedness with all beings... Out of this darkness a new world can arise, from our dreams."

~Joanna Macy: The Work that Reconnects~
