Description
Empathy Cafes - Australia
Do you worry that our world is becoming more divided, society is isolating, or fragmented?
Are you looking for a place where your anger, sadness, fear and love for this world can be heard?
Where you can practise skills that transform conflict into genuine connection?
The Empathy Cafe Movement is a peer support arena where we cultivate Empathic Communities. Empathy skills bridge the gap between "us" and "them", between despair and active hope, between broken solutions and collective action, between disaster and the Great Turning.
An Empathy Café is where people share and practise active listening without judgment, in small groups. Share as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
Come to the Empathy Café to find common ground and cultivate a ripple effect of empathy for a better world, through your activism, professional & personal life.

"This is a dark time, filled with suffering and uncertainty. Like living cells in a larger body, it is natural that we feel the trauma of our world. So don’t be afraid of the anguish you feel, or the anger or fear, because these responses arise from the depth of your caring and the truth of your interconnectedness with all beings... Out of this darkness a new world can arise, from our dreams."
