    Join us for an exciting and informative information session at Bunbury Geographe CCI on Friday 14th June at 9:00am with guest speakers from the Dept. of Home Affairs’ Business, Industry and Regional Outreach and Status Resolution teams and the WA Dept. of Training and Workforce Development (DTWD) Construction Migration Office.

    The WA Business, Industry and Regional Outreach (BIRO) team work closely with regional businesses and industry groups and will provide current information on Skilled Visa Programs and visa options for employers in the South West region. They will also discuss how the South West Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA) works and how it can assist with regional labour and skills shortages. The Status Resolution team from the Dept. of Home Affairs will provide additional information about what to do if visa holders have overstayed their visa and seeking to resolve their Immigration status to either remain in Australia or return home, including use of VEVO (Visa Entitlement Verification Online) by businesses as a tool to confirm the visa status of any Non-Citizen applicants.

    The Construction Migration Office (CMO) team from DTWD will provide information on the employer subsidies and support programs available for the Construction sector as well as general information about their Skilled Migrant Employment Register (SMER) service and other migration services available to assist employers and businesses across WA.
