Event description

Empower Safe Adults provides citizens a big picture look at child exploitation and sex trafficking in America. We will share about statistics (both state & national), root causes, and talk about how “We the People” can be part of the solution to stop child exploitation. This training is designed to bring awareness and give participants a sample of our advanced 4-hour training.

This training course does not contain any graphic or explicit material. However, due to challenging and mature subject matter related
to child exploitation, this course is recommended for adults only.

Empower The Fight is an anti-exploitation organization that was founded by a group of Kansas City moms who witnessed first-hand child exploitation in various areas of their professional and personal lives. They were concerned about the public’s lack of knowledge of the scale of the problem and began to strategize how to bring solutions and not just awareness. After collaborating with numerous field experts, frontline professionals, and victims, they realized the most urgent need: PREVENTION!

At the request of both victims and professionals, Empower's prevention model to empower safe adults to safeguard children through solutions-based training was set into motion. A solid foundation was laid in three years of extensive research and an 18-month training pilot program with participants from 28 states. Over 1,500 hours of collaboration resulted in Empower's national proprietary trainings. Now, the big audacious goal is to train 3 million safe adults in the United States by 2030! Empower's approach is unconventional because the need is too big and too urgent to become another child welfare organization that settles within the constraints of our nation’s broken system. 97% of children who are reported as being physically exploited each year in the United States do not receive protection. This is unacceptable! Empower focuses on being a voice for the voiceless child, not an echo of broken government or agency systems.
