Empowering and Celebrating First Nations Women

Join us to for a magical night at our Awards Gala dinner – Empowering and Celebrating First Nations Women. Our host will be the amazingly funny Steph Tisdell and we will be enriched by a lovely performance from the Garabara Dancers. We will also be entertained by the amazing voice of Joseph Gatehau and blown away with original songs from the stunning Montanah Grace.

The Women's Business Second Chance (WB2C) Hub is a ground-breaking program for marginalised (excluded economically and socially) Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander women delivered by Real Futures in collaboration with UN Women and BHP Foundation. WB2C operates in Rooty Hill, Kempsey, Newcastle NSW and Carnarvon WA. The WB2C program has been designed to transform the lives of women, rippling out to families, communities, and regions by creating meaningful and lasting opportunities. Our team achieves this by providing an inclusive physical space where women gain access to quality learning, entrepreneurship skills, and employment through our educational and vocational training workshops tailored to their needs as learners and future earners. We also offer social, emotional and well-being support. 

We love supporting our Mob and seeing them thrive and prosper. To date, WB2C have empowered over 600 women across Australia gain a second chance in life. On this special night we get to celebrate the incredible journeys of these phenomenal women and highlight some of their extraordinary work.

We will also be fundraising at this event so we can continue to support our First Nation sisters. All money raised goes straight back into our programs so that we can continue to empower all women

This ticket will provide a three course meal, classic beverages, soft drinks and tea and coffee station. Our media team will be taking photos and video footage at this event for our social media platforms. Please inform us if you wish to not be in any photo's or video footage.
