Explore ideas, workarounds and survival tips to empower creative bureaucrats in Hobart, and Tasmania, to join the creative bureaucracy movement.

The creative bureaucracy isn’t just possible—it’s essential. Around the world, creative bureaucrats are tackling complex and chronic challenges with innovative solutions, as a force for positive change.

We’re building a local (and global) community where public servants, collaborators and supporters can share, learn, and innovate together.

Now it’s Tasmania’s turn to join the movement!

This event (along with a simultaneous event in Launceston) is an opportunity to meet and connect with like-minded thinkers and explore ideas and examples for how to survive and thrive as a creative bureaucrat, whether you work inside the bureaucracy or not.

We will explore:

Workarounds: Learn how creative bureaucrats get results despite systemic and day-to-day challenges.
Survival Skills: Hear about lessons learned along the way.
Creative Examples: Hear about local and national projects that demonstrate creative bureaucracy in action.
Networking Opportunities: Connect with a growing network of creative bureaucrats across Tasmania, Australia, and New Zealand.

Let’s celebrate the countless experiments and innovations taking place in public sectors worldwide—and start making a difference here in Tasmania.

Don’t miss this chance to be part of a global community. See you there!

We want this to be an inclusive and accessible event, so if cost (or anything else) is a barrier to attend, please let us know so we can find a way for you to join us.
