Empowering Futures: Leveraging innovative online approaches for deeper connection in Career Development services
Event description
The integration of online delivery within career services was solidified through the adaptations we made during the Pandemic. Now, 5 years later, this webinar will explore this profound evolution for our sector.
We will explore where promising innovations exist that leverage human connection and digital technologies to transform our practice as we learn to serve clients through blended service delivery models.
This session will provide a review of the innovations in online delivery since 2020 and situate the opportunity for continued service transformation as we intentionally design and adapt service models to leverage the opportunities that integrate face to face and online delivery with synchronous and a-synchronous communication.
Combining practical and evidence-based perspectives, this session will offer insights for practitioners, leaders, service designers, and policymakers. We have an opportunity to think BIG for our sector, to move away from reaching for the technology that is closest to us to thinking about an eco-system approach that extends our reach and can create more personalized, engaging and effective career guidance services.
Key Learning Outcomes:
- Reflect on the early use and adoption of online delivery and academic perspectives from the career development sector prior to the Pandemic
- Review the adaptation to expanded online delivery during the Pandemic and key learnings and evolutions from that experience
- Consider the online tools now available to us and how we can innovate as we design services and integrate online communication in our work
- Explore how we may continue to shape and integrate AI into our services
- Imagine how we can reconceive and transform the reach and efficacy of our work
This session is focused on how we, as Career Development Professionals can influence, create and shape our story going forward. By blending our service design using online and face to face delivery, with the Career Development Practitioner situated as the connection and meaning-making agent with the clients we serve, we have the opportunity create service models that are more flexible, accessible, scalable and personalised.
Leave this session with optimism and a growth strategy for enhancing your own use of technology enabled solutions that create deeper connection between you and your clients.
