Event description

Have you ever found yourself unsure about how and where to access family violence services in Victoria?

Join us on Monday, June 19th, as Gals in Australia, Latin Stories Australia, and the Centre for Multicultural Youth come together to host an enlightening workshop tailored specifically for the Latin community.

This workshop aims to provide clear and comprehensive information about the available services and pathways designed to support visa holders dealing with family violence, particularly within intimate relationships. Different organisations and service provider will be present to offer guidance, teach us how to create safety plans, and address any questions we may have.

Through our observations, we have noticed a significant number of family violence cases reported in Facebook groups by visa holders, predominantly international students and individuals with partner visas. This event presents a unique opportunity to directly connect with service providers and explore proactive ways to prevent family violence within our communities.

This session is FREE and aims to provide valuable insights. We extend a warm welcome to anyone interested in attending.
