Learn how to craft your own scented exfoliating sugar scrubs using all natural ingredients and scented fragrance oils! Specifically, you'll be making an emulsified sugar scrub and a sugar scrub bar. Emulsified sugar scrub is an exfoliating body scrub that is infused with emulsifying wax and other ingredients to give it a creamier feel. Sugar scrub bars are a combination of a body scrub and soap bar, cleansing your skin as well as exfoliating. Exfoliating your skin with a sugar scrub as part of your skincare routine helps to remove dead skin cells, allowing your skin to have a radiant, youthful glow. This is a fun class to take together with family, friends or coworkers.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN CLASS

This class is available to take In Person at our Montclair NJ Shop, or online Virtually on Zoom. For the Virtual class participants can opt to take the class with a DIY Kit or choose to receive a shopping list.

IN PERSON CLASS

If a participant chooses to take the class In Person, then they are taking the class at our shop located at 547 Bloomfield Ave, Montclair NJ. For In Person Classes, materials will be provided at the shop.

VIRTUAL CLASS

If a participant chooses to take the class Virtually, they will receive a Zoom link. For Virtual Classes a participant can choose to receive a DIY Kit or a Shopping List.

To receive your DIY Kit in a timely manner, register at least a week or earlier in advance to reserve your materials for shipping or local curbside pick up. Please provide your shipping address when registering.

DIY Kit includes premeasured ingredients, fragrance oils, glycerin soap base, containers, and scrub bar mold.

Participants will need access to a microwave or double boiler, mixing bowl, microwave safe measuring cup, kitchen scale, and digital thermometer.

Participants who register for a Virtual class with a Shopping List will be emailed a list of materials, utensils, appliances, and other items needed to participate in the workshop. Participants are responsible for sourcing their materials in time for class. Participants are welcome to contact us for recommendations as to where they can source their materials.

APPROPRIATE AGES FOR PARTICIPATION

Participants must be at least 12 years old and can work independently. If a participant needs a caretaker or parent to assist with the project the assisting person does not need a ticket.

CLASS PARTICIPATION

This is a Live event. In Person and Virtual Class Participants must attend on the scheduled date and time of the class in order to partake. There is no recorded session available for replay. If an In Person Participant is unable to attend the class in Person they can request to join the class Virtually and we can arrange accommodations. If a Virtual Class participant is unable to log onto a class on the day and time it is scheduled then it is the participant’s responsibility to contact us prior to the event for accommodations. If a participant is unable to join and needs to reschedule, there is a rescheduling fee that will be billed to the participant. If we as the organizers need to reschedule an event there is no rescheduling fee, and participants will be notified of any changes.

INTERNATIONAL VIRTUAL PARTICIPATION

If you live outside of the United States there is an additional fee to ship DIY kits. Participants are responsible for any duty fees, customs fees, or any additional fees associated with receiving their DIY Kits. If a participant chooses to get a DIY Kit it is the participant’s responsibility to make sure their country can receive packages from the US.
