Join acclaimed artist Peter Hudson for an en plein air masterclass.
Working in your preferred medium painting or drawing material*, Peter will lead the group in creating small studies, capturing the essence of the landscape and the play of natural light. Be inspired by the picturesque surroundings of our Gallery taking in views of the Noosa River and learn essential techniques for working en plein air.
In the afternoon, delve into the intricacies of creating a more detailed work. The artist will guide you through the process of expanding your morning studies into a larger, more refined painting/drawing. Learn how to elevate your work by paying attention to finer details, refining compositions, and adding depth to your artwork. Peter's hands-on guidance and insightful tips will empower you to translate the vibrant energy of the outdoors onto your paper.
*Materials: a selection of watercolour and acrylic paints along with high quality colour pencils and charcoal will be provided to allow participants to choose their preferred medium.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to avoid late starts and allow time to find an all-day carpark.
This Masterclass will take place outside the gallery under marquees and in various public spaces along the Noosa River. Please wear weather appropriate clothing. In the case of wet weather, Peter will have some prepared imagery for reference material.
