Enabling a Place-Based Circular Economy: National direction, local strengths, shared opportunities
Description
The panel brings research on regional governance into conversation with evidence about business needs and multilevel plastics governance in island contexts. Its focus is practical: what should governments fund, enable, test and evaluate next?
With the CERN APAC Conference coming up, we invite you to join us the evening before for a pre-conference panel discussion hosted by Monash University’s Sustainability Transitions Lab (STL), the University of Tasmania and the National Environmental Science Program’s Sustainable Communities and Waste Hub.

Dr Heinz Schandl — Senior Principal Research Scientist, CSIRO
Dr Nicole Garofano — Strategy Consultant, Circular Economy Transitions
Natalia de Miranda Grilli — PhD Candidate, Plastics Circular Economy, University of Tasmania
