Let's hear from Nina - Death Doula and Living Smartie

‘I am passionate about the taboo topic of End of Life. Over a period of over six years I have worked as a Death Doula, Silver Chain End of Life Volunteer, Coronial Auxiliary Police Officer and as the Bereavement Officer to the State Mortuary of WA. All of these roles involved assisting the dying and their families in the dying and post death process.

These truly humbling and awakening experiences have allowed me to recognize my little puzzle piece to help bring death to life. I, with the guidance of Living Smarties have created a workshop as a stepping stone, to offer an insight for those willing to step into the reality of our mortality. I believe a relationship with Death creates a richer relationship to our lives. Life without Death is impossible, as is Death without Life.’
