End of Year Festive Frock Up!
Event description
It's a party!!! Come and celebrate with us!
Let's wrap up an amazing year of all things fabric and frocks at Songlines.Â
In 2022 there was a feast of fabric stuff in D-town - we had the inaugural Darwin Frocktails, Ikuntji Artists' Frock On 2022, Films for Frockistas and a Meet the Makers event. Over the year we brought together a diverse bunch of Darwin folk who love textiles and clothes + quite a few fibre enthusiasts wrangling Pandanus. It's been such a pleasure to meet you all.
The details - what to bring/what you get
Get your (homemade and/or locally sourced) glad rags on and come show off, chat textiles and have some fun with similarly enthusiastic fabric fiends.
What we we are providing
- Lucky door prizes
- Surprise (even to us)Â prizes
- Beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks
- Platters (put together by our resident chef)
- Special discounts
- Great company
- Frock-related films/slideshow in the multimedia space
Thank you so much!
Big thanks to all of you who supported Songlines and the makers/creators over the last year. You are sustainers and we see and appreciate you.
Also a massive thanks to our wonderful fabric suppliers/partners: Ikuntji Artists, Bula'bula Arts, Babbarra Designs, Papulankutja Artists, Merrepen Arts and Anindilyakwa Arts. We look forward to supporting you even more in 2023.
