End the Under-staffing at Waitākere Hospital

Waitākere Hospital is among the worst-staffed and worst-resourced hospitals in Aotearoa.

Patients, whānau, and healthcare workers are all feeling the consequences. The choices made at this election will shape the future of our public health system for decades to come.

As nurses and healthcare assistants working in West Auckland, we see the impact every day. This election we are asking the public to vote for health.

We work in unsafe conditions, without the staff and resources needed to provide the care our patients deserve. Every day we see whānau waiting longer, needs going unmet, and more and more patients increasingly falling through the widening gaps in our health system.

Join us on the 13th of August at Te Pai Centre at 7pm for a public meeting co-hosted by Te Atatū MP Phil Twyford. We are grateful for Phil's advocacy and allyship on this issue.

Public healthcare is a taonga. It belongs to all of us. Now is the time for West Aucklanders to come together, stand up for Waitākere Hospital, and fight for the healthcare our communities deserve.
