Endless Grooves ~ Chee Shimizu

Endless Grooves continues our series of parties at Ancient World showcasing some of the finest talent in soulful, underground music.

This time joining us is Chee Shimizu – esteemed Japanese digger and an     authority on obscure music over the past 30 years.

Chee has been the owner and operator of Organic Music record store since 2008 as well as 17853 Records label since 2015. In addition he’s authored Obscure Sound, his highly sought after digging guide from 2013 as well as compilation work for Amsterdam’s Music From Memory label in 2017.

He was one of the first DJs in Japan to introduce experimental disco, italo, cosmic and leftfield sounds to the country’s dancefloors through his Discosession parties and has since performed at venues including SHeLTeR in Tokyo as well as Rainbow Disco Club parties in Japan and Have A Nice Day parties in Berlin.
