Event description

Endless Grooves continues at Ancient World showcasing some of the finest talent in soulful, underground music.

Joining us for a very special live performance is Patrick Holland (FKA Project Pablo) – Multi-faceted Canadian musician, producer, DJ and singer-songwriter who has garnered a reputation for blurring the lines between music geared for the dance floor and the headphones alike.

As a musician and singer-songwriter, his luminous, guitar-driven pop sensibilities have seen him work with artists like Cut Copy, Homeshake and touring as bassist for Montréal indie-pop outfit TOPS.

As an electronic producer, he helped define the sound of dance music from the 2010s onwards running his own imprints Verdichio Music Publishing, ASL Singles Club, Sounds Of Beaubien Ouest (SOBO) and Jump Source alongside Priori, as well as releases on labels including Hybridity, 1080p and Pacific Rhythm.

In addition to his vast catalogue of original productions, Patrick has made a name for himself as a tastemaker and DJ.

Returning to Australia for the first time since 2020, his last trip saw him perform at festivals including Pitch Music and Arts, Boiler Room x Sugar Mountain and RCC here in Adelaide.

Globally, he’s graced the stage at renowned festivals and institutions including Piknic Électronik in Montreal, Panorama Bar and Paloma Bar in Berlin, Phonox and XOYO in London, Concrete in Paris and Bar Part Time in San Francisco.

Support from locals Fantastic Black Plastic and Nantale.

In addition, we are also lucky enough to have Patrick performing an exclusive DJ set on board Dream Boat ~ Party on the Popeye on Saturday 2 March from 2:00pm – 3:30pm as part of the Adelaide Fringe.

Tickets and info for this show are strictly limited and are available via Fringetix.

Ancient World has a flight of 6 stairs to enter the bar and dance floor via the beer garden. We won’t be using any strobes or flashing lights, but there will be haze.

We acknowledge that this event takes place on Kaurna Yerta, and that music, art, and culture have been shared here for many thousands of years. We pay respects to Elders past and present. Always was, always will be.
