Event description

Valentine Area Sustainable Neighbourhood Group is presenting the third and final energy workshop of our Solar Sense project.

FREE workshop

We will guide you through the following topics.

  • Learn how to read and understand your power bill.
  • Understand what appliances use a lot of power and how to save money.
  • Tips to make your house more energy efficient and to implement Cool House Warm House concepts.
  • Demystifying solar PV (photo-voltaic) systems.
  • How solar PV works and some of the good deals out there.
  • Case Studies of local people who have taken the step to solar, batteries and electric vehicles.

This workshop is part of the Valentine Area Sustainable Neighbourhood Group’s Solar Sense project, supported by Lake Macquarie City Council through its Community Environment Grants Program.
