Engaging Multicultural Communities: A Community Engagement Approach to Working with CALD Communities
Description
How can we engage multicultural communities in ways that build trust, strengthen participation and lead to more responsive services?
This practical workshop explores a community engagement approach to working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities. We will examine key community engagement principles and frameworks, barriers to participation, and practical strategies for getting to know your local community.
The workshop combines facilitated learning with lived and local perspectives. A one-hour panel discussion and Q&A will provide an opportunity to hear directly from multicultural community leaders and representatives about what supports effective engagement and how services can work more collaboratively with communities.
Light refreshments will be served.
Cost: $25 + booking fee
