An 8 session SMALL group online workshop for Years 7 to 9 English Students

Tuesday 10th May to Tuesday 28th June 2022.

Week 1-4:

Interpretive reading, literal decoding and planning to improve analytical writing and conceptual organisation.

Week 5-8:

The creative writing component will assist in developing narrative arcs, managing voice and tense, broadening structural awareness and purposeful technique integration.

As Andrea would like to prepare the course tailored to each student enrolled, prior to the start of the course, students will be contacted to provide the following:

Semester grade/mark for the subject;
copies of assessments with marker feedback;
a recent sample of work;
self-identified areas for improvement; and
personal goals for the term.

ABOUT ANDREA FOLLI:

Andrea is a dedicated and highly experienced teacher who has been educating students since 1992.

Since emigrating to Australia in 1999, Andrea has taught at all levels across the curriculum to students

with a range of abilities that extend from Year 7 to HSC Extension 2 and Higher Level English in the

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

Andrea is a former Head of English and now fulfils a senior pastoral role at his current school.

Andrea has a passion for teaching English, and finds it extremely rewarding when his students discover confidence in their ability.
