    Event description

    ENHANCING FARM DAMS FIELD DAY
Farm dams are essential infrastructure for water storage on many properties. They can provide water resources for stock and  habitat for native wildlife. Enhancing a farm dam can lead to improvements in water quality, improve stock productivity and increase biodiversity on your property.

Join Kiewa Catchment Landcare Groups and landholders Ros and David Palmer with special guests David Smith from ANU Sustainable Farms and Kerri Goschnick from Ag Vic for a workshop on the benefits and best practice management of farm dams.

This field day will help you

    • measure the capacity of your dam so you know how long your water will last
    • know the latest research on farm dams including how to improve water quality, biodiversity & stock productivity
    • gain practical management advice and firsthand experiences from local landowners
