FEATURE POET

DAIANE MORET

Daiane is a Brazilian woman living in Gadigal Land, Sydney, since 2010. With a background in acting, dance plus a psychology bachelor, it was through poetry that she found the space to revisit the knots which wove her into the woman she is today. Dai’s art navigates personal experiences whilst deconstructing given identities, embracing elements of Brazilian culture and retelling narratives while re-signifying herself through them. She has performed at the Sydney Writers Festival, Vivid, Melbourne Spoken Word Festival, Sydney International Women’s Jazz Festival and Poetica.
