About the series:

MOD. x Elder Conservatorium: Sounding the Future

In 2026, the Elder Conservatorium of Music partners with MOD. for a bold new three-concert evening series that reimagines how we experience music. Set within MOD.’s futuristic museum of discovery, these relaxed events see live music unfold alongside open galleries and a bar, bringing sound into dialogue with ideas at the intersection of science, art and innovation.

Featuring Elder Music Lab, Stephen Whittington and Ensemble Lumen, the series is quirky, contemporary and immersive. Join us after hours at MOD. to hear the future take shape.

Series Dates:
• 21 May – Elder Music Lab
• 2 July – Stephen Whittington: 'Softly, Softly' – The Piano Music of Morton Feldman and friends
• 3 September – Ensemble Lumen: 'In Small Company'

Curated by ECMSPA Head of Woodwind, Lloyd Van’t Hoff.
Co-presented with the J. M. Coetzee Centre for Creative Practice.
