    Event description

Up on top of Mount Glorious and nestled into the most beautiful rainforest is one of the most special places we've been to. The new owners, Laura and Gavin have brought what used to be Elmhaus into a new and stunning era, recently restored and ready for high quality events for the musically and aesthetically minded. With high vaulted ceilings and stunning craftsman designed woodwork everywhere, the acoustics are incredible and perfect for an Ensemble Q concert. The outlook is stunning, and when we stop playing you'll hear the whip birds singing in the forest right next to Elm House. This is special, so we want to celebrate the birth of Elm House with a very special concert for local residents only (Mount Glorious, Mt Nebo, Samford Valley and area).

Ensemble Q is Company in Residence at QPAC and 2024 national touring artists for Musica Viva. They are known and loved for their captivating programming and quirky style and are champions of undiscovered masterpieces. The ensemble comprises wind quintet, string quintet, harp, piano and percussion so their programming possibilities are endless. In this performance they bring four of the best Ensemble Q friends and combination of instruments to Elm House for an energetic, fun and beautiful performance of some of our audience favourites.

The artists for this program will be
    Paul Dean, clarinet
    Trish Dean, cello
    Phoebe Russell, double bass
