Masterclasses have shaped students' playing through generations worldwide - they're events that go on CVs, they're challenging to the max and they're the unforgettable moments in a student's life.

In these times of connectivity and instant information, it's easy to forget that there are many young star struck students out there who would do anything to be given a glimpse of a master player's playing, teaching and of course personal acknowledgment of their own playing.

The element of a public masterclass - offering learning for active and passive students as well as keenly watching audience members - is a rich experience for all involved.

In each masterclass, three students from across a range of ages will be given the opportunity to perform for the master musician, who will then talk about where the student is succeeding, and where improvements may help their playing. They will share tips and techniques, gently guiding the young musician and audience to see how sometimes even simple adjustments make massive changes. Each student will work with the artist for a minimum of 20 minutes.
