Please come join Pauline Fetaui, ACS Director of Innovation Labs, and Peter Laurie, Founder of Junta and RCL Mentor in Residence, at River City Labs for a fireside chat discussing all things entrepreneurship and tips for success followed by a Q&A. The panel will be moderated by Laura Ashmole, Head of Growth at River City Labs. This is a great opportunity to hear insights on entrepreneurship and get to know two tech ecosystem leaders, who between them have worked with thousands of founders supporting them in turning ideas into products and products into commercial businesses. Working with tech founders at every stage in their entrepreneurial journey, through the good and the bad – they have seen it all and built lot of valuable knowledge along the way! Meet our panel: Pauline Fetaui is the Director of Innovation for the Australia Computer Society, which includes Technology Innovation Hubs; River City Labs (Brisbane), Bay City Labs (Melbourne), Harbour City Labs (Sydney) and technology trade mission brand Startup Catalyst. Co-Founder of Something Fest and Something Tech. Queensland’s Digital, Innovation and Technology Festival, Co-Founder Seven Sisters Foundation. Prior to joining the emerging technology and startup ecosystem, Pauline spent 20 years leading and delivering Digital, Tech Transformation and Regulatory Change for Global and national large organisations across Banking, Superannuation, Insurance and Government and was Co-host of Podcast, Splash of Colour, Founder of CheeHoo (Personal Assistance Platform for the busy people). Peter Laurie, Founder of Junta and River City Labs Mentor in Residence Peter has been the Mentor in Residence at River City Labs since it opened over twelve years ago. He has worked with over a thousand startups and scaleups over that time both at RCL and as an entrepreneur in residence on several other programs throughout Australia. Peter has an MBA from QUT specialising in strategy, entrepreneurship, and microeconomics, and now lectures in entrepreneurship at UQ. He has also been doing commercial software development for the last thirty years and is still on the tools now. Peter won the Queensland Pearcey Entrepreneur Award for 2018.
