Event description

Have you ever played string games? Well, you might have Honor Maude to thank.

Discover the artistry and global connections of string games in our upcoming ‘The Art of Curation: Masterclass with Dr Robyn McKenzie’. Join us to explore "Entwined: string games across cultures," the latest exhibition co-curated by the talented students of The University of Adelaide Curatorial and Museum Studies Graduate Program.

This event, second of 'The Art of Curation' series, will explore the intricate work and legacy of Honor Maude, a world-renowned expert in string games and showcase highlights from the first exhibition curated by the ‘Curatorial and Museum Studies’ students as part of their ‘Exhibition: Concept, Design and Delivery’ course.

Robyn McKenzie is a post-doctoral research fellow at the Australian National University working on the multi-team project ‘Beyond Reconciliation: Truth-Telling for Indigenous Wellbeing and the Health of the Nation’. Robyn is the Advanced Studies in the Humanities (ASH) Fellow at the University of Adelaide. She has research interests in First Nations collections, museums and the making of value.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to weave together history, culture, and art through the timeless tradition of string games.
