Description

Designed and built for purpose, As One Coworking sits lightly within the heritage industrial buildings of the former Returned Soldiers and Servicemen's (RS&S) Mill, celebrating the rich history and enduring character of one of Geelong's iconic sites.

The building design embraces the environmentally sustainable qualities of the mill, featuring the distinctive south-facing sawtooth roof and external walls constructed from Geelong red bricks, renowned for their dense composition and sustainable properties.

Inside, visitors will discover a thoughtful interpretation of the days when Geelong was known as 'the wool centre of the world'. Biophilic elements, including wool felt walls, a wool sorting board table and window decal imagery drawn from the working mill, connect the space to its industrial past.

The strong sense of community that once defined the site, where people worked, lived and gathered, now finds new expression through coworking, supporting current generations of Geelong businesses, creatives and entrepreneurs.

Hosted as part of Geelong Design Week in partnership with the Geelong Quality Council, this guided tour is led by founder Kerrie Quirk, who will share the vision behind the environmentally sustainable design of As One Coworking and the adaptive reuse of this remarkable heritage building.
