EnviroPAST 2022 Wellington: Repurpose, Rethink, Restore
Event description
EnviroPAST(Plastic And Sustainability Talks) is
a by-youth-for-youth conference bringing together business leaders, academics, entrepreneurs, and passionate
young people at the forefront of sustainability. First held in Christchurch in 2019, EnviroPAST is on the move north in 2022 to Wellington!
This year's conference, themed "Repurpose, Rethink, Restore", is all about exploring how we can live more sustainable lives and leave a lighter footprint on our planet - as individuals, communities, and a country. The conference programme is diverse and will feature everything from speaker sessions on mātauranga Māori, western science and sustainability in business to hands-on workshops. To top it all off, the conference will culminate with a practical action event, where conference attendees will go out into the community and make a tangible difference. This year attendees will be taking part in a dune restoration, thanks to Conservation Volunteers NZ, Wellington City Council, and the Department of Conservation.
We're working hard to curate an exciting lineup of speakers and interactive workshops for the conference - keep an eye out on our website and social pages as they are announced in the coming weeks.

What past EnviroPAST attendees say:
"The speakers had exciting, interesting, inspiring, or poignant things to talk about which completely engaged the
audience. There were a lot more highlights (such as free stuff, discounts on hot chocolates...) but I think most
importantly, the conference had a very important message that was sent across extremely well. I can't describe the
emotions it made me feel afterwards and the sense of need to change."
"My highlight was being able to surround myself with like-minded people. It was so cool to hear about how everyone wanted to play their part in changing the world."
