Equality Rights Alliance Symposium
Event description
The Federal Government’s Working for Women strategy focuses on a whole-of-community approach to gender equality.
While there are many people working to improve gender equality in Australia, we don’t often get the opportunity to build relationships and share ideas and strategies with people outside our own sector.
The ‘Working together for Women’ is intended to facilitate the building of relationships between gender equality actors in the community sector, academia, business, education, health, the other National Women’s Alliances and Federal, State and Territory governments.
You are invited to join us for a day and a half of discussion, keynote presentations and networking with thought leaders and activists working on gender equality throughout our community.
Step into another world and exchange ideas with people working on women’s economic security and leadership from a range of different angles. Hear about cutting-edge work on gender in the context of climate change, what gender impact assessment looks like in different environments and how the gender and human rights debate is likely to affect your work. Meet the people who are driving change across the economy, in our homes and across governments.
Following the conference, the Equality Rights Alliance Members Meeting will take place, along with a farewell celebration for current Equality Rights Alliance Convenor, Helen Dalley-Fisher.
