Equine Therapy Experience

Current and ex-serving emergency services and Defence personnel and family are invited to join us for a day of Equine Therapy on the Gold Coast. 

Engaging in activities with horses provides an opportunity for people to explore and develop their strengths, thus improving self-awareness and confidence. Horses are non-judgmental and have no expectations or hidden agendas. A horse operates in the here and now responds immediately and honestly to what is happening in its environment, and is an expert in reading non-verbal signals and body language. 

Unlike other animals, they mirror human emotions, intent and body language, expose incongruences that may arise, and provide vast opportunities for metaphorical learning. Members will spend the day getting to know the Equine Alliance horses and engage in activities such as grooming, feeding, and leading a horse. Equine Alliance have kindly donated their time and resources to offer Buddy Up members a day of equine therapy at their facility.

Buddy Up Australia membership: Buddy Up Australia is an Australian Registered Charity that enriches the lives of current and ex-serving defence members, first responders and their families through fitness, social and volunteering events. Lifetime membership is free for current and ex-serving defence members, first responders and their families. Membership gives you access to all free or subsidised Buddy Up events.
