Kicking off the show will be newly formed post-rock outfit Thespian, not to be missed so get down early!

They will be followed by Cat Crawl, a 90s-inspired alternative band. Drawing upon new wave and punk influences, distorted basslines and heavy drums are matched with surreal choruses and defiant vocals.

Wrapping up the evening is Erin Will Be Mad who weave a hypnotic presence on stage, presenting a rich sonic palette of moody, dark-rock that commands your attention.

All ticket sales and donations go to Pay The Rent Grassroots Collective

The concept of pay the rent recognises Aboriginal sovereignty of the land.  It recognises that this sovereignty has never been ceded, and that their land was stolen under the legal fiction of terra nullius, continuing to this day through successive government policy which erodes land rights.  It also recognises that this country is built on indentured Aboriginal labour and stolen wages, and seeks to redress these injustices and the illegal occupation of this country.

Paying the rent is a practical way to support the self-determination of Aboriginal peoples.  It supports elders and strengthens the capacity for economic independence, the practicing of lore and protection of land.

The Pay The Rent Grassroots Collective has been established under the ‘Sovereign Body, Administration Arm’ model. This model allows for a Sovereign Body of First Nations people to make decisions about how the money is allocated, while an Administration Arm of conscientious non-Aboriginal people undertakes the logistical and administrative work. (Copied from paytherent.net.au).
