Join us for our one-day ESC for Regulators Course that is IECA-approved training, delivered by SEEC - Strategic Environmental and Engineering Consulting.
This training is for anyone in a Regulatory role (Local or State Government) responsible for reviewing, inspecting or verifying erosion and sediment control plans or site practices and undertaking compliance activity.
The course will cover;
Basics of erosion and sediment control, plus specific instruction on the erosion and sediment control aspects of construction works
Erosion and sediment control theory including basics of soils, soil management and the difference between erosion control and sediment control
The role of the White Book (IECA, 2025), legal responsibility, requirements and context
How to conduct ESC inspections, gathering evidence and ESC investigations
This course also works through detailed real-world case study examples including working through a site investigation based on a real-world case.

TRAINER: KEL SANSON
Kel is a Senior Environmental Consultant with SEEC.
Kel is an erosion and sediment control specialist with significant on-ground construction environmental management experience as well as regulatory experience. He is a recognised industry leader in construction-phase erosion and sediment control in South-East Queensland and conducts regular training, consulting and expert witness services in this field.
Kel has worked on a wide range of sites including major road projects, CSG dams and pipeline projects, power substations, residential subdivisions and wind farms. He was also a Director of the International Erosion Control Association (IECA) in Australasia from 2013 to 2019. Kel is a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control and previously worked as a regulator for Ipswich City Council where he was responsible for erosion and sediment control compliance.
