Join Edinburgh Social Enterprise Network & Axé Boom Boom for an exciting and energy filled morning of learning movement for everyday life, to bring joy & energy at work and beyond, learnt through office exercises and Capoeira.
Wake up the body, energise, and show practical moves for daily use that can be used in the office or at home.
Work through a dynamic movement flow with the fundamentals of Capoeira to gently activate strength, posture and core body strength.
And to close off, a presentation on how to stay active with joy, even on a busy schedule, examples of micro-movement breaks and a Q&A for any further questions on the world of capoeira, movement and more.

Directions to Greyfriars Charteris Centre
Walking Directions from Edinburgh Waverley Train Station (0.6 miles)
Leave station via the Market Street exit. (This is found via the upper walkway within the station concourse).
Turn left, continuing along Market Street. Cross over and where the road divides, go up the hill – this is now Jeffrey Street. This continues up and to the right.
At the crossroads, go straight over into St Mary’s Street. At the bottom of the hill at another crossroads, go straight over onto the Pleasance. Continue up the hill past the University Sports Centre on your left; as you reach the brow of the hill, look ahead and you’ll see the red topped spire of the Greyfriars Charteris Centre.
By Bus
The name of the closest main bus stop is Surgeons' Hall, located on Nicolson Street. From Surgeon's Hall turn at the crossroads into West Richmond St (next to Specsavers). At the next junction cross using the pedestrian crossing and you will be at the front door.
Parking
Unfortunately there is no parking available at Greyfriars Charteris but there is a public pay and display area on Brown Street to the side of Charteris or on West Richmond Street.
