Ruth Mascelli pairs slinking, synth-fuelled transcendence with crooning, existential balladry. Softening the edges of the industrial textures he provides as one quarter of the notorious synth punk band Special Interest, Mascelli’s solo performances present a carefully constructed sequence of electronic mood pieces and melted torch songs infused with a desolate cosmic romanticism.
Mary Hanson Scott is a musician and composer based in Minneapolis. She has performed at Drone Not Drones in Minneapolis, International Noise Conference in Miami, Big Ears Festival in Knoxville (with Green Ribbon), basements, plant stores, galleries, churches, and more. She spent many years in the New Orleans experimental music scene while developing a reedy, textural, psychedelic sound. Mary has studied at the Deep Listening Institute and her work explores the interplay between sound, the body, the earth, and the cosmos.
Eve Essex is a composer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in New York City. She performs with voice, woodwinds and electronics, harnessing elements of distorted pop, avant-jazz, chamber music and drone.
