Espionage: Bianca Oblivion, Denham Audio, Mani Festo, MPH & Silva Bumpa
Event description
The Operatives return with yes another Espionage session featuring the young leading exponents in the electronic realm.
MPH has woven his sound into nearly every conceivable corner of UK dancefloors, strapping together monumental releases for some of the scenes most important imprints. From smooth garage creations with DJ EZ’s label Nuvolve, Kiwi Rekords and Southpoint, to raucous bassline bangers for the likes of Night Bass and Crucast; it’s difficult to find a platform that MPH is yet to encounter.
Bianca Oblivion is a connector of the global club underground, drawing lines between U.S. & U.K. bass music, baile funk, reggaeton, grime, vogue and beyond. She has long been involved in multiple facets of the L.A. underground, continuously working to create spaces for femme/non-binary, queer, and POC artists in the Los Angeles nightlife scene as part of crews like Culosangeles, Club Aerobics and now Warp Mode.
In a blizzard of breakbeats, b-lines and acid hooks, Denham Audio have brought new urgency and vitality to the modern rave scene. The sound they’re pushing is rooted in the legacy of UK hardcore, but those foundational sounds and styles are given a thorough spruce up, feeding into the buoyant areas of exploration happening between 140 and 160 BPM.Â
Caught in the provocative tension between futurism and tradition, Mani Festo is a champion for the transportive, perception-altering power of club music.Â
Bumpa's signature sound fuses UK bass grit with the infectious bounce of club classics, capturing the essence of mid-noughties bassline with solid songwriting.Â
