Essentials Part 1 & 2 - West Pennant Hills

This is one of two required training sessions for Disaster Recovery volunteers. The sessions can be completed in either order.

In Essentials Part 1, you'll learn the essentials of the Anglicare Disaster Recovery role, including:

• What volunteers may be asked to do

• How evacuation and recovery centres operate and,

• How this fits into the NSW Emergency Management system

  In Essentials 2, Learn how to support people safely and respectfully during and after disasters including:

  • Recognising risks

  • Responding to different needs

  • Maintaining safe environments

  • Speaking up when something is unsafe or inappropriate
