Description

This training event covers all the required training for Disaster Recovery volunteers in one session.

In Essentials Part 1, you'll learn the essentials of the Anglicare Disaster Recovery role, including:

  • What volunteers may be asked to do

  • How evacuation and recovery centres operate and,

  • How this fits into the NSW Emergency Management system

In Essentials Part 2, you'll learn how to support people safely and respectfully during and after disasters, including:

  • Recognising risks

  • Responding to different needs

  • Maintaining safe environments

  • Speaking up when something is unsafe or inappropriate
