Essex Babylab invites parents with babies, parents-to-be, and anyone interested in baby development for a friendly session where we share research insights and practical tips with parents(-to-be) so we can facilitate positive baby development.

Many parents often feel that they need to read parenting textbooks and follow specific rules to be good parents. Yet, we want to help them recognise that they have all it takes to be the real experts of their own baby. By sharing science-based facts and up-to-date research discoveries, we aim to show that there's no clear 'manual' to follow during your journey into parenthood.

Each month will feature a specific theme. To kick off the series, we will be talking about "The Fourth Trimester: Why are babies so needy?"

We will be joined by our own Dr Maria Laura Filippetti who will give us insights from the latest research. The workshop will be run by Jo Cresdee from UK Babies, a community interest company with the purpose of supporting families through pregnancy and into early parenthood.
