Warm Data Lab
Description
Host: David Johnston (former Managing Director, Weleda Australia)
You’re invited to participate in a Warm Data Lab. An experiential conversational practice that explores how our relationships, stories, and perspectives interweave to reveal the deeper relational patterns shaping our lives and communities.
Warm Data comes from understanding not just the parts of a system, but the interrelationships that integrate those parts into a living whole; what Nora Bateson describes as “information that is alive.” Rather than focusing on isolated facts or solutions, Warm Data Labs help us see how contexts overlap and interact in the complex systems we inhabit, from family and work, to ecology, culture, education, technology, and community.
In this Lab, we will slow down and engage across multiple contexts through shared reflection, mutual listening, and transcontextual conversation. Moving between small group constellations, we co-create a space where stories, lived experience, and diverse perspectives become sources of rich insight. This process is designed to strengthen our collective capacity to perceive and respond to complexity - not by providing solutions, but by deepening understanding.
There is no need to prepare. bring yourself, your curiosity, and perhaps a friend or two.
Tea will be provided. You are welcome to bring snacks to share.
Warm Data Labs offer experiences that can shift the way we think, feel, and relate to one another, revealing new patterns of connection and meaning through mutual learning and dialogue.
