UTS MWN Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony
Description
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and UTS Multicultural Women's Network are hosting a series of events to raise funds for life-saving breast cancer research.
Experience a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony right here at UTS. More than just coffee, the ceremony is a social and cultural ritual where you slow down to observe and appreciate how coffee beans are ground, brewed and served in a tradition that is a thousand years old.
Attendance is by donation, a guide of $20 is recommended. Register for the class and donate directly to MWN's Pink Bloom Party fundraising page to support the cause.
Baked goods will also be sold on the day from 10.00am – 1.30pm. If you are not able to attend but would like to support, please donate at the link above.
Coffee Ceremony times:
11.00am – 11.20am
11.40 am – 12.00pm
12.20pm –12.40pm
1.00pm – 1.20pm
