Plant drawing sessions with a focus on eucalypts :)
Darebin Parklands over 3 weeks
6–8pm Wednesday evenings
These friendly plant drawing sessions are an opportunity to connect with plants, learn with others and find your own way with drawing in a supportive and inclusive space.
The 3 drawing sessions focus on eucalypts – the lovely fragrant trees widespread across most of the continent and unique to each place.
Eucalypts are beautiful plants. Often growing to tens of metres in height, their seed is incredibly tiny. Their flowers attract a whole range of pollinators, from flying foxes to nectar-loving flies, beetles and bees. Their bark is home to spiders, geckos and microbats, and the hollows of their frees home to nesting parrots, gliders and possums.
Eucalypts are also beautiful to draw! And over 3 weeks we'll look at different aspects of these amazing plants. Sessions are indoors at the Gleeson Centre and outdoors on short walks in the Parklands.

Fees are ‘sliding scale’ and include all art materials, venue hire, and 10% donation to First Nations orgs

Week 1 – Outdoors ‘walk and draw’ in the Parklands
Week 2 – Indoors at the Gleeson Centre
Week 3 - A mix of both indoors and outdoors
- All drawing materials provided.
- Please contact me with any access needs.
- Please bring your own portable seating, foldable chairs or picnic mat if you would like to sit.
- Please wear suitable shoes that are good for walking over uneven ground, water bottle, snacks, sun protection
