Description

Join South East Local Land Services and the Bega Beef Co-op for a full-day eucalypt identification workshop in the Bega Valley. Led by local botanist Jackie Miles, the workshop will explore the region’s diverse Eucalyptus species and provide practical tips to help you confidently identify them in the field.

Event details:

The day will begin with a morning theory session, covering key identification features and what to look for when distinguishing between species. In the afternoon, you’ll head out on a field trip to put your new skills into practice.

This workshop is ideal for interested landholders wanting to better understand the vegetation on their properties. You’ll gain confidence in identifying common species, learn practical field techniques, and be introduced to helpful identification resources.

Additional details:

  • Morning tea and lunch is provided.

  • A field trip will take part for the second half of the day, please bring appropriate clothing and shoes and a water bottle.
